Well, the trips to America and South America were fabulous. Lovely people everywhere. There were so many highlights, it's impossible to cherry pick, but hopefully we'll get back to South America with the ERE next year.
On Friday 3rd of May I'm recording the first of what I hope will be many podcasts. Next month I hope to be able to tell you who some of them are with!
On the 9th of May I travel to London for meetings regarding the administration of my new publishing company which will hopefully finally bring about sheet music, something I have been fighting for over the last heaven only knows how ever many years.
On Saturday the 11th I am having yet another chunk of hair removed. It's so short now, I realise that I do indeed have a neck.
On the 14th of May I fly to Bratislava in Slovakia to take part in the Starmus festival. I love being a part of this and over the last few years have appeared in Tenerife, Armenia, and Zurich.
Sat 18th May… I intend to have a very lazy day of dog-walking and doing some "nothing" followed by some more "nothing"… yes… it's my 75th birthday!!
On the 19th I fly to Milan to perform as part of a piano festival which I'm really looking forward to. Not sure what I'm going to play yet… I'll probably decide on the plane on the way over!!
On the 21st I will be rehearsing all day with Hayley and Dave Colquhoun in preparation for the festival we are a part of in Wales. It will be the first time this line up has performed as a "trio", and I hope it won't be the last.
On the 22nd I am part of a special evening at a school in Billericay where Brian Greenaway, (from Triple Cream) is a teacher. A Q&A session with a bit of playing from yours truly and hopefully, endless cups of tea.
Fri 24th May is the day of the festival in Wales… The Mach 24 festival, which does state on its site that I will be playing for 2 hours… actually, it will be close to an hour and a half plus loads of chat.
Sun 26th May… I am part of a fundraising concert for Saving Strays at Burgh House in Hampstead. Please come along if you're in the area… our doggies need you!!!
In the meantime, as it's a really lovely day, I'm going to sit in the garden with a cup of tea… how good is that!!
Cheers Rick
