I'm delighted to say that Brian Blessed has graciously agreed to be the narrator at Hampton Court. All in all, the concerts are shaping up to be fantastic - roll on May!
Some news "hot off the press", so to speak. There are two piano concerts now confirmed. The Thornbury Festival Saturday April 25th and the Devizes Festival on the 6th of June.
We are very close to confirming another couple of concerts in Poland and Switzerland. More details to follow...
Your Honour.....Here are the mitigating circumstances as to why I came last! Walking onto the set, I tripped and fell headlong into some metal staging. With blood literally gushing from my leg and the shin bone exposed, and in absolute agony, I was given enough pain killers to bring me to what can only be described as a comatosed state. Truth is, I don't remember any of the programme at all, none of the questions and none of my answers! I do however remember being taken to Hammersmith Hospital immediately after the filming had finished and being transferred from there to Charing Cross Hospital, which after 26+ stitches and various clips in my leg, I was discharged at around 4.30am. 10 weeks down the line it has yet to heal up properly and I have nine inches of heavy scarring which I proudly show people and tell them how musician's really suffer for their art!!!...On two occasions I have also told people that I received the wounds behind enemy lines working as a spy for MI5. Few believe this story, but it does sound infinitely better than admitting to falling over into metal staging !!!
